After 14 years, The Stoveworks LLC, Richard Taylor, Jeanie Wooster and Mel Stowers, sold their successful loft office development to Paces Properties.
Pace’s Proeperties bought The Stove Works as part of their overall plan to transform Tyler Perry’s old production facility and warehouse near the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail as well as the adjacent parcels into a mixed-use development centered around a 12,000 square-foot, west coast-style market and restaurants, titled Krog Street Market, would eventually include housing on the complex’s south end.
More than a third of the 30,000 square-foot development in the Tyler Perry Property will be a market that will feature “anywhere from eight to 15 market stalls ranging from 2,500 to 1,000 square feet where local operators can sell wares from the florist, baker, to candlestick maker.
Cochran reports that their firm’s plans for the Stove Works are yet to be determined. This award-winning complex, which includes Krog Bar, Rathbun’s, and sleek offices is 99 percent occupied. What will become of the adjacent parking and property will become clear once the first phase of development across the street is completed.
